Where does this “veil” come from? The veil of blindness comes from Satan to blind each individual from seeing and understanding the glory of Jesus Christ (the gospel of the good news of Jesus) and reason for Jesus’ sacrifice of His life on the cross for our sins. Satan will do everything possible to keep us from Jesus, because if he succeeds we will be joining him in hell for eternity. That is where I was headed until I turned my face to God and sought Jesus’ through repentance, surrender, and prayer. How does Satan blind us? He causes confusion and hardening against Jesus in our mind and heart. Through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus alone the veil lifts!
